Villa Bloom stands as a revered cultural gem within the Republic of Croatia, embodying profound historical significance. This meticulously preserved estate, graced by intricately landscaped gardens, seamlessly blends residential and commercial spaces, exuding the distinguished ambiance reminiscent of an 18th-century suburban construction. Though marred by the Russian Montenegrin devastation of 1806, the property emerged from the ashes in the mid-19th century, a testament to resilience.
In 1933, the villa found a guardian in Dubrovnik merchant Marko Rusk. Under his stewardship, the estate underwent a transformative phase in 1934, marked by a comprehensive reconstruction and expansion. The architectural vision of Mladen Kauzlarić and Stjepan Gomboš, both disciples of the renowned Le Corbusier, breathed new life into Villa Bloom.
The most recent chapter in its storied history unfolded with a meticulous renovation and reconstruction project, adhering scrupulously to professional standards and intricate legal procedures. A collaborative effort involving twenty architects and engineers, this endeavor prioritized not only the aesthetics and design of external areas but also the architectural nuances of the house and auxiliary structures. The result is a captivating edifice that seamlessly blends historical charm with contemporary allure.
Spanning a vast estate of 2500 m², Villa Bloom boasts exquisite gardens and terraces, with the main house encompassing approximately 800 m². The principal building hosts one each floor 2 spacious en-suite bedrooms + one interconnected bedroom with sofa bed, complemented by an additional apartment featuring 1 bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room with a kitchen in the adjoining annex. The villa further indulges its residents with a gym, sauna, jacuzzi, summer kitchen, and a generously sized heated pool.
Undoubtedly, Villa Bloom\'s prime allure lies in its proximity to the Old Town, enhanced by expansive outdoor spaces and meticulously landscaped terraced docks adorned with indigenous flora - some preserved, others newly introduced. In every detail, Villa Bloom stands as an impressive testament to architectural finesse and historical preservation, inviting guests to immerse themselves in a living legacy of elegance and luxury.
