Tranquillity on the Beach is an exquisite, 7 bedroom private villa located on a stunning beach and set in beautifully landscaped tropical gardens in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

It would be hard to find such a charming property anywhere in Jamaica that boasts such a delightful array of facilities, from its sandy beach, private pool with extended, furnished pool deck, beautifully furnished living spaces, gorgeous bedrooms, all en-suite, modern entertainment systems and a variety of sport facilities including a tennis court (shared with the neighbouring villa), sea kayaks, paddleboards, beach toys and basketball. Every detail is taken care of and to crown it all, guests are delighted by the excellent team of staff including a professional butler, outstanding chef (trained in Italy), housekeeper, laundress and 2 gardeners.

The main entrance of Tranquillity features an indoor waterfall garden leading to the spacious Great Room which opens to an 86' furnished verandah. Meals are served by the butler on the verandah overlooking two acres of landscaped grounds and the sea. Dinners are also served in the inside formal dining room or even in the romantic waterfront gazebo by candlelight. The overall ambiance is quite beautiful.

Artful landscaping ensures year-round flowers in bloom which in turn ensure regular visits from hummingbirds and parrots. The grounds resemble a private park dotted with mango, guava, banana, plantain, lime, soursop, apple and papaya trees.

100 yards offshore is Holden's Reef, a continuation of the barrier reef complex that fronts much of Jamaica's north coast. Easily reachable by kayak, this live reef is home to a myriad of tropical fish and corals. At low tide, portions protrude above the water so you can step from your kayak to snorkel in shallow water. On the ocean side, deeper waters beckon the more adventurous or scuba equipped.

Master Bedroom 1
Kingsize 4-poster bed.  Flat screen cable television.  4 pairs of mahogany French doors to verandah. Modern en-suite bathroom features handsome gray and tan tile open shower with twin rain forest shower jets.  Just steps from the pool.

Master Bedroom 2
Kingsize bed in a high-ceilinged 400-square-foot suite with flat screen cable television. En-suite bathroom has bathtub plus separate walk-in shower. French doors open to private furnished verandah.  3 steps down and path to pool, gazebo and beach.

Bedroom 3
Optional kingsize or twin beds.  en-suite bathroom with double vanity, walk-in shower and wonderful second very private shower in outdoor walled garden. French doors open from bedroom to verandah.

Bedroom 4
Kingsize bed, en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. French doors to private patio, grounds and tennis court.

Beach Cottage
Bedrooms 5 & 6
Designed as the owners’ private quarters, this is an exquisite 2-story cottage right next to the sea. Downstairs is the living room with cable television, VCR and sound system, small extra bedroom with with queensize bed, hall bathroom and walk-in shower. The lower level opens to a private terrace on the edge of the beach where meals are served if only the Beach Cottage is occupied. (If more than two guests are in residence, all meals are served on the main house verandah, although eye-opener coffee and fruit may be served at the Beach Cottage.) Upstairs are the kingsize bedroom, over-the-beach balcony with lounges for sunning or star-gazing, and large en-suite marble bath with oversize walk-in shower.

Bedroom 7
A new bedroom with bunk beds has been added to the Beach Cottage. The new bedroom is upstairs next to the Master Bedroom, shares a bathroom and provides another convenient parent-child suite.
