Mon Repos is a fabulous family villa. It is located on the idyllic island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.  Mon Repos is within a short walking distance to the Top of the Baths. This is the famous landmark of Virgin Gorda. Here you will find an abundance of smooth granite boulders. Mon Repos is situated on more than one acre of fully-fenced flat landscaped lawn.

Mon Repos features cool tiled floors. It has ceilings of beamed cedar. There is artistic lighting and draperies and window blinds in all bedrooms. The property also has a collection of colourful original art. The villa is wonderful for children, with three bedrooms all under one roof.

It has a completely fenced area with swings. There are also tortoises in a pen below the villa to visit.

It’s just a quick walk or drive to Top of The Baths. Here there is a restaurant, pool, bar and shops. There is also a trailhead that leads down to The Baths’. Follow this to the beautiful white sands and huge smooth boulder formations. There are also grottos to explore. Swimming, snorkelling, fun and adventure for the whole family.

At the end of the Great Room is the air-conditioned media room. The media room is furnished with comfortable lounging sofas. It is stocked with an assortment of games, puzzles, books and DVDs.

Situated just beyond the media room is the spacious and unique master bedroom suite. Mon Repos was built around the island’s typical giant granite boulders. In the master suite, one wall interestingly has the smooth side of a boulder embedded in it. Another smaller boulder forms a table for the TV at the foot of the bed. The large master suite is furnished with a cane antique mahogany West Indian settee. There is a mahogany desk with a 4-in-one printer. The master bedroom also has its own private roofed verandah. A novel soaking tub with a shower fashioned from native stone, glass block and tile graces the master suite. This is flanked by a tiled vanity with a colourful Mexican ceramic sink.

On the opposite side of the Great Room are two more air-conditioned queen bedrooms. These share a tiled bath with a shower. Both bedrooms in this wing open out to a connecting covered veranda. This is set with chairs for relaxing in the sea breezes. Right outside of the Great Room is a spacious slate-tiled pool deck set. It is furnished with chaise lounges, chairs and side tables. It overlooks the fenced flat lawn. This is a perfect spot from which to watch the children play below.

Down the stairs is Mon Repos’ air-conditioned apartment suite. This comprises the villa’s fourth bedroom. It is very private. Perfect for a couple who want seclusion or for older teenagers. This suite has a second kitchen with a dining table. It also has a living area with sofa and Dish Network TV. There is a tiled bath with shower. There is also a unique bedroom in which the queen bed is set on a slightly-raised smooth boulder. This is surrounded by tiled flooring.
