Getting to South Africa from the UK : Direct flights from London Heathrow into Johannesburg are offered by British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and South African Airways. South Africa has an excellent network of internal flight options to all regions on South African Airways as well as local low-cost carriers. There are also direct flights from London into Cape Town with British Airways.

Official language : There are 11 official languages in South Africa. Although English is the main language in daily use, you will also hear many others such as Zulu, Xhosa and Afrikaans.

Time Zone : GMT plus 1 hour in our summer and 2 hours in our winter
